Men and women alike appreciate poetry,
but don't usually purchase it for themselves. I've proclaimed July to be
"Buy poetry for your lover" month so they can receive books of meaningful poetry
from their lovers, spouses, significant others, BFF's, close friends, family
members, distant relatives, and even pen pals.
At one time poetry was a large part of
mainstream readership. The public seemed to lose interest with the advent
of gaming and the Internet, and now the Internet can be the avenue of
restoration of this important genre of entertainment and enlightenment.
You can purchase art and poetry
