From the minute you open A Splendid Alternative by Jack Huber, you are filled with a sense of anticipation, a longing for something creatively unique and you are never disappointed.

A Splendid Alternative is a literary buffet; amazing photography is served up as an appetizer while the main course samplings include the relevant analogy of the human condition in The Dormant and the visual description of a boy of summer as he “fidgets in the batter’s box and waits”.
