About Jack
Jack Huber is an author, photographer, poet, and lifelong storyteller with a curiosity that has taken him through several careers, creative pursuits, and more than a few unexpected turns.
He is the author of the Pat Ruger mystery series, along with poetry collections, nonfiction books, and other works that reflect his interest in people, places, humor, mystery, and the small details that make life interesting. He has written hundreds of poems and enjoys experimenting with both traditional and original poetic forms.
Photography has long been another important part of Jack’s creative life. His work focuses heavily on nature, landscapes, wildlife, and the scenes people often pass without noticing. Through Fields & Feather, he combines original photography and poetry in notecards and other creative projects.
Jack’s background has been anything but one-dimensional. Over the years, he has worked in information technology, business development, consulting, retail, and entrepreneurship, including operating several businesses of his own. Those experiences—and the many people he has met along the way—often find their way into his writing.
Away from the keyboard and camera, Jack enjoys traveling, exploring back roads with his camera, dancing, meeting new people, and discovering places he has never seen before. He believes that life remains interesting as long as there is something new to learn, create, photograph, write about, or experience.
This website brings those interests together in one place: books, poetry, photography, Fields & Feather, and whatever Jack decides to explore next.
