Summary-
My background-
I have spent several years in business development and over thirty years in the computer industry. During my long career I have had many articles and blog posts published in a variety of various print and web magazines and journals, most recently in travel and RV-related sites. Now that I can enjoy a full-time RV lifestyle, I have much more time to write, relax and take incredible photos.
A little history-
I had my first poems published at age 10 when my fifth grade teacher submitted two pieces that were accepted by a literary magazine. Since then I've written poetry off and on throughout my life, taking it up seriously in the summer of 2007. Since then, I've published over 350 poems, many with photographs. Though each piece can stand on its own, both the poem and photo are enhanced through their pairing.
I began taking photos while in grade school with my first Brownie camera (my grandmother gave it to me). It was old even then and used only black and white film, the kind you have save up allowance to get developed. I've used various cameras over the years, and presently sports a pair of high-tech Sony digital cameras. As with my poetry, I prefer interesting takes on commonplace themes, and especially enjoy taking nature and landscape photos.
I began writing my first novel in April, 2013, which was completed later that year. Several sequels have been completed, continuing a mystery series with retired detective Pat Ruger as the protagonist. In the latter books of the series, Pat also becomes a full-time RV'er, living in a motorhome and traveling the country. Trouble still seems to find him, though.
In April of 2018, Nadyne and I sold our house and moved into our 5th wheel with our Cairn terrier, Lucy. Since that time we have camped (glamped?) in over 25 states and traveled over 27,000 miles. It's been an adventure, and one that we hope will continue for many years to come.
