I have been contemplating life in my 60th year on the planet. My dad only made it to age 55, so it's somewhat unexplored territory for me. He smoked and had high blood pressure exacerbated by the smoking, and passed away from a stroke after six months in a coma. My mom lived ten years longer, but those years were spent on oxygen with emphysema, also caused by smoking. I have never smoked, but have been driving myself to become more healthy, so now I've lost 45 pounds in the last several months. My wife, Nadyne, is also losing weight and trying to improve her quality of life.
I have too much to say and too many stories to write to give up anytime soon.
