Pat Ruger Mystery Series- Book 2
Pat Ruger planned to relax.
After years of chasing criminals, surviving dangerous cases, and trying to figure out what comes next in his personal life, a Caribbean cruise sounded like the perfect escape. Sunshine, poker, good food, and a few weeks with no one shooting at him.
That plan doesn’t last long.
When a mysterious woman turns up dead aboard the Artistry of the Seas, Pat is drawn into the investigation alongside his longtime friend, Denver detective Jimmy Stewart. What begins as a shipboard murder mystery quickly becomes something much larger, involving organized crime, stolen technology, millions of dollars in diamonds, and dangerous people willing to kill to protect their secrets.
Before long, Pat and Jimmy find themselves caught between criminals, hijackers, corrupt officials, and an international crisis unfolding far from home. With nowhere to run and hundreds of passengers at risk, Pat must rely on instinct, experience, and more than a little luck to stay alive long enough to uncover the truth.
But through all the chaos, one question refuses to go away:
Who killed the woman whose death started it all?
Blending mystery, suspense, humor, friendship, and high-stakes adventure, Caribbean Shuffle sends Pat Ruger far beyond the investigation he expected—and into a case that could change the course of his life.
