It was difficult to get as many striking photos on our Alaska cruise as I'd hoped, with the region having been inundated with smoke from forest fires burning in Canada, but I was able to take a few. My shot of this eagle, which had been sitting on a chunk of ice floating in Glacier Bay, is one of my favorites from the trip. The water in the bay was a dull blue due to the silt deposited by the glaciers.
