Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time, and sometimes it pays to get up early. We were camping in Malakoff, TX, near a lake and I realized that in the morning the sun would be rising over the water, one of my favorite settings. So I got up before dawn the next day and waited. I was rewarded by this unusual swing in which to frame the sun. It is easily one of my favorite sunrise photos.
