Unlikely though it always seems,
my world succumbs to broken dreams,
and even if I'm forced to run
the gravity of earth and sun
provides the limits to my age.
Walk back a step, turn back the page,
and summon hope, and life, and strength,
outdistancing the breadth and length
of charity and youth appeal,
instead of dreams becoming real.
